Building Al Muraja'ah - How I Built a Quran Memorization Retention App

4 days. That's how long it took.

My first app. On the App Store. In 4 days using AI.

Not months. Not weeks. Days.

Search "Al Muraja'ah" and you'll find it.

The problem: I was memorizing Quran but forgetting it. You know that feeling? Spend ages on a surah, a few weeks later it's gone. Happened to me constantly.

Existing apps didn't work. Too complex or too simple. I needed spaced repetition specifically for Quran. Not generic flashcards. Quran.

So I built it. Swift + SwiftUI. Clean UI, dark mode, accessible. Tracks pages, daily goals, streaks. Spaced repetition at optimal times - not too early (wastes time), not too late (already forgotten).

Lessons learned:

App Store review is random. Submit early, be patient, respond fast to their questions.

Start simple. First version did one thing: track revision. Added features later based on actual user feedback.
